Urgent appeal—protesters arrested in Malaysia

Some 54 protesters have been arrested in Malaysia in relation to a protest against price hikes organised by the Coalition Against Inflation (Protes).
As part of the government's crackdown on peaceful assembly, police arrested more then 50 individuals, including an opposition leader and supporters near Ampang Park LRT station at about 3pm on 26 January.
Those arrested are reportedly held at the Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK Kuala Lumpur) Kuala Lumpur. As of 5.10pm on 26 January, 54 individuals were confirmed to have been detained at IPK Kuala Lumpur. S Arutchelvan and two others were taken to Pudu Jail.
The first batch of arrests were made at about 2.35pm. Among those arrested were:

A full list of arrested civilians is yet to be announced by the police.
Article ten of the federal constitution of Malaysia guarantees freedom of assembly and expression. However, the draconian Police Act circumvents the right by requiring a permit from the police for a gathering of more than three people.
The PSM calls for all the detainees to be released unconditionally and immediately.

1) Make a phone call to Kuala Lumpur Police Headquaters and call for a immediate and unconditional release of all detainees.
2) Spread this news and get friends to call to IPK and sent protest letter.
